Specifically approved for direct burial, wet or dry locations and outdoors in cable trays where a sunlight resistant rating is required. Designed for control, power, lighting, telemetering, signals and relay or traffic control. These cables are recognized for use in Class 1 or 2, Division 2 hazardous locations as well as armored control cables that are recognized for Class 1 or 2, Division 1 hazardous locations.

Another commonly stocked tray rated cable is FR-EPR/CPE or FREP. This cable comes with a flame-retardant EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) insulation and a CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene) jacket and provides even greater resistance to the elements.
